Congratulations, Julia!
The winner of our G.I.R.L. scholarship is Julia Brasil, a student at The Art Institute in San Francisco!
While she’s slaving…er, interning with SOE, Julia’s going to chronicle her experiences for this blog. You all will get to live the experience with her!
And meanwhile, I’ll get to go on holiday myself. Maybe I’ll get back to my knitting. Who knows?
Congrats again to Julia and all of the talented students who entered our contest!
Wow, that really cool! I can’t wait to see what Julia has to say about her internship at SOE. Great contest you guys. :]

Congratulations to Julia Brasil!
This new program at SOE seems to be just what the gaming industry needs. We need more perspective, vision and direction from the women in the gaming world. Julia’s mention of puzzles from her earlier gaming days jumped out at me. This is something somewhat lacking in modern MMOs. A difficult task outside of single-player games to be sure. I hope someday we will see her influence on the next generation of games and wish Julia the best in her time at AI S.F.
Woot!

Hello. Congrats to Julia!
I have noticed that G.I.R.L stands for “Gamers in Real Life,” so I was wondering if it was possible for me to enter the scholarship contest next time. I am indeed a male, but due to the simplistic definition of the acronym, it seems as if I would be able to join. Please let us know:
